Index Calculation and Standardization 3.3.1. Ecological Suitability Index. Ecological suitability is determined by ecological sensitive degree of ecosystem. Sensitivity analysis is to distinguish the area which it is easily deteriorated by exotic environment. Sensitivity analysis is comprised of soil erosion sensitivity and soil desertification sensitivity on the basis of contemporary status and potential problems in the study area. Soil erosion sensitivity is determined by precipitation, DEM, soil, and LUCC. Soil desertification sensitivity is evaluated by average precipitation, annual accumulated temperature (≥0C), windy days in winter and spring (>6m/s), and NDVI. (a) Soil Erosion Sensitivity. In the paper, we use the Wischmeier empirical formula to calculate the rainfall erosivity (R) [17]:

In order to understand the seismic performance and mechanism of bottom frame seismic wall masonry structure (BFSWMS) and its vulnerability in empirical seismic damage, based on the statistical and numerical analysis of the field seismic damage observation data of 2178 Dujiangyan structures in the Wenchuan great earthquake urban of China on May 12, 2008, a non-linear function model between the s...
متن کاملEcological Vulnerability Assessment of Mining Areas under Operation (Case Study: Tabas County)
Introduction: Mining is one of the most effective human activities to change the situation in the region, particularly in arid area. The human demand for minerals and energy resources under the ground has made mining and exploration operations inevitable. Mining is one of the common human behaviors with numerous outcomes for the ecosystem along with serious environmental and ecological conseque...
متن کاملAssessment and Spatial Planning of Landscape Ecological Connectivity for Biodiversity Management (Case Study: Qazvin Province)
Habitat and ecosystem fragmentation and, consequently, the loss of landscape connectivity are major causes of biodiversity destruction, leading to disruption of material, energy, and information flow at the landscape scale. Given the importance of this issue, the current study aimed to evaluate the ecological connectivity and spatial planning of Qazvin Province, in order to re-establish and pro...
متن کاملSpatial Pattern and Characteristic of Tree-fall Gaps to Approach Ecological Forestry in Northern Iran
Gaps created by falling trees (tree-fall gaps) are a natural disturbance in forest ecosystems. Understanding scale, pattern and the effect of gaps on regeneration is important to current and future forest management. The aim of this study was to determine the size, shape and the spatial pattern of tree-fall gaps and of associated regeneration. This study was carried out in three parcels (No.15,...
متن کاملAssessment of Spatial Distribution Model of Urban-Social Vulnerability in Natural Hazards (A case study of Seven Municipality of Tehran)
Identifying spatial patterns in vulnerability involves a comprehensive look at vulnerable points. And provides analytical power to the authorities. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize patterns of vulnerability so as to minimize the amount of damage to them in the event of a crisis. The city of Tehran, as the political and administrative center of the country, is faced with a variety of risk...
